Campaign against Pollen Allergy

April 05 2004

Pollen allergy was recognised as a serious health problem in Islamabad in 2003 when the Met department took out the first daily pollen count, published in newspapers and broadcast in the media. In subsequent years, the city authorities established month-long pollen-allergy camps at various points in the capital, with medical personnel on hand to treat people with allergy symptoms and advise them on ways to relieve these or avoid getting them in the first place. Sheltar actively participated in the Campaign in 2004 initiated by CDA.
